Peace Comes with a Price

Memorial Day at Arlington National CemetaryEven the birds seem restrained from their rambunctious character today. Monday, the last last day of May, known as Memorial Day, is the day we remember those whom gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. In Maryland the morning air is still, the sun crisp in the clear sky. Morning comes gracefully and proud. Peace and quiet overcome all other influences, evidence of the debt we owe the service men and women who paid the ultimate price. I am deeply thankful for the peace, the freedom we enjoy in our country. I am delighted that Maryland has at last shed winter weather and now we can enjoy summer. Let us all be thankful for those whom gave their lives so we could enjoy life. Thank you with all my heart!
